Navy Beans

A variant of the common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris), which was initially domesticated in the Americas, is the navy bean, haricot, pearl haricot bean, Boston bean, white pea bean, or pea bean. It is a dry white bean with an oval, somewhat flattened form that is smaller than many other varieties of white beans.  It may be found in baked beans, several soups including Senate bean soup, and even pies.

Beans, whether dried or canned, retain their freshness for longer when kept in a pantry or other cold, dark location below 75 °F (24 °C). For replanting, seeds should remain viable with regular seed storage for one to four years, with a very big timetable for cooking well-kept seeds that is almost endless. Avoid beans that have lost their original white color because they may have been mishandled throughout the drying process. Canned navy beans are huge benefits of  high folate and potassium.
